Grad Checklist
Class of 2024 Checklist
- Confirm eligibility. Eligibility to participate in the University Commencement ceremony for the Class of 2024 is limited to students who have graduated or will graduate during the 2024-25 academic year.
- Apply for degree and complete requirements. To participate in Commencement activities in December 2024, candidates must apply for degree and meet the requirements associated with their graduation status. The deadline to apply for degree is Friday, November 1, 2024.
- Email the Office of the Registrar at registrar@uky.edu for any questions regarding your degree or graduation eligibility status.
- Attend Grad Salute. Graduate candidates are encouraged to attend Grad Salute October 23 and 24 at the Gatton Student Center for assistance with all your graduation needs.
- Register for Commencement. Once candidates apply for their degree, they will be eligible to register to participate in the Commencement ceremonies. Registration will open October 18, at which point graduates who have applied for their degree will receive an email with details on completing registration through Marching Order. Subsequent emails will be sent to students who apply for their degree after October 18 through November 1.
- Order academic regalia for Commencement activities. More details on placing orders for attire will be available on the Cap and Gown page.
- Celebrate! December 2024 Commencement ceremonies will take place on Friday, December 20 at Rupp Arena at the Central Bank Center! The ceremony will also be live-streamed and available on the Commencement website the morning of the ceremony. The full ceremony schedule will be published as soon as it becomes available.
